Acton Hill-Ford.
Registered builder, qualified carpenter, owner of Wayfare Construction Pty Ltd. Working out of Mildura on the Murray.
A bit of background.
I served my apprenticeship as a carpenter in Australia and then spent years working across Australia and New Zealand — framing, fitting out, finishing, learning from the people whose work I respected most. The years on the tools came first; the licence came when I knew the work cold.
Wayfare Construction was founded in 2019. Today it’s a small, deliberate building practice based in Mildura. I run every project personally — from the first walk of the site to the last screw in the architraves.
How I work.
Most of what I build is self-funded spec homes that end up on the market. A few projects each year are by referral — renovations, extensions, considered outdoor structures. I take on what I can do well, and turn down what I can’t.
The work is detailed once, built right, and finished to a standard that’s rare to see at this scale. There’s no foreman, no project manager, no production-line cabinetry. If it has the Wayfare name on it, I built it.
